What is Consumer Directed Services (CDS)?+

Missouri CDS is a Medicaid-funded program that may allow an eligible person with a physical disability to direct their own personal care and choose the attendant who helps them, subject to program rules.

Can a family member or friend be my attendant?+

An eligible participant may choose a qualified adult child, other eligible relative, or friend. A spouse cannot be a paid Missouri CDS attendant. Screening, program approval, and other restrictions apply.

Do I need MO HealthNet to use CDS?+

CDS is tied to Missouri Medicaid (MO HealthNet). Other eligibility requirements also apply. If you are unsure of your status, you can still contact us and we’ll discuss possible next steps.

What if I need Harmony to provide a caregiver?+

Our private-pay in-home care path is designed for families who want dependable non-medical help at home. We’ll learn about your schedule, routines, and priorities before discussing a care plan.

Is this medical or skilled nursing care?+

No. Harmony provides non-medical support. If you need clinical or skilled nursing services, we encourage you to speak with a qualified medical provider.
